چکیده

Establishing the aeroelastic characteristic of all-movable fins with freeplay nonlinearities is one most common problems in design supersonic flight vehicles. In this context, study provided novel points view on nonlinear characteristics an fin its root. The unsteady aerodynamic model that was employed uses second-order piston theory considering thickness effects. For a system multiple nonlinearities, discrete scanning method based describing function established to solve limit-cycle oscillations (LCOs) and avoid loss solutions. Combining time-domain integration method, influences support stiffness at root size ratio bending torsional degrees freedom dynamical response were analyzed. results demonstrate systems single nonlinearity exhibit two completely different types LCO, while complex behaviors such as LCO quasi-periodic chaotic motions. path torus breaking into chaos observed. Furthermore, harmonic initial condition for proposed; can be used quick check frequency-domain calculation results.

Behaviour of an aeroelastic T-tail model with rudder’s freeplay: experimental and numerical investigation

Freeplay is one of the most important nonlinearities that affect the control surfaces of the aircraft; it can induce flutter phenomena and limit the performances of the same airplane. To investigate the effect of control surface freeplay, an aeroelastic wind tunnel model of a T-tail has been developed. A variable amplitude freeplay has been introduced in the control chain by a specifically desi...

Aeroelastic Analysis of Bridges: Effects of Turbulence and Aerodynamic Nonlinearities

Current linear aeroelastic analysis approaches are not suited for capturing the emerging concerns in bridge aerodynamics introduced by aerodynamic nonlinearities and turbulence effects. These issues may become critical for bridges with increasing spans and/or with aerodynamic characteristics sensitive to the effective angle of incidence. This paper presents a nonlinear aerodynamic force model a...

Single-Setup-Multiple-Deliveries for a Single Supplier-Single Buyer with Single Product and Backorder

This article investigates integrated production-inventory models with backorder. A single supplier and a single buyer are considered and shortage as backorder is allowed for the buyer. The proposed models determine optimal order quantity, optimal backorder quantity and optimal number of deliveries on the joint total cost for both buyer and supplier. Two cases are discussed: single-setup-singl...

Adaptive Control of a Nonlinear Aeroelastic System

Aeroelastic two-dimensional wing section with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) was investigated in this paper through numerical simulation in time domain. Structural stiffness and damping in pitch degree of freedom were represented by nonlinear polynomials. Open-loop limit cycle oscillation (LCO) characters of two examples were studied, and flutter boundaries with initial condition...

Data-based Nonlinear Aeroelastic Modeling

The investigation of flutter and aeroservoelastic stability through flight testing is an essential part of aircraft certification. The stability boundary prediction is especially difficult when the instability is associated with nonlinearity in the dynamics. This paper presents an approach for the characterization of the nonlinear dynamics by non-iterative identification algorithms. Two differe...
